Hoop Petticoat. A free-flowering and jolly little bulb from the Pyrenees, different in form and effect from any other daffodil.
This variety has frequently been declared one of the most beautiful of all tulips. Candy for the eye, delightful when repeated in groups around the garden. Great for planting in exposed situations were the taller growing kinds are unsuitable. It enjoys the companionship of other double tulips. Mid to late-spring flowering. Height 40cm. Suggestion: Angelique makes a wonderful association with other double tulips like Blue Diamond and white Mount Tacoma. Also very effective when interspersed with blue Muscari, blooming at the same time and loving the same sort of conditions.
